Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant will actively contribute to the work of the School of Communication, Film and Media by fulfilling the following responsibilities: Collaborate with Associate Deans in development and execution of undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and retention, including attending on campus recruitment and retention events. Conducting tours for prospective students. Developing recruitment materials. Working with campus partners to plan and coordinate recruitment activities, etc. Assist Office of the Dean and the School with creative design, digital content creation, programming initiatives, alumni newsletter, social media (analytics, campaigns, evaluation, and strategy), and targeted promotion and outreach.

To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria: Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions. Hold a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution. Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing. Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.

In person work at least 2 days per week Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design Digital and Social Media Communication Student

A monthly stipend of $1,000.00 per month A tuition waiver, reducing the semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees while employed in the assistantship
