Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Sanitation Manager to oversee sanitation operations within a high-volume kitchen department at a large food distribution center. This role is responsible for ensuring all sanitation practices meet strict food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily sanitation operations within the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and company standards
• Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation schedules and procedures
• Supervise and train sanitation staff, ensuring proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
• Maintain sanitation logs, documentation, and reporting for compliance purposes
• Collaborate with operations and quality assurance teams to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Address and resolve sanitation-related issues promptly and effectively

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sanitation, food production, or warehouse environments (food industry preferred)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Work Environment

• Large-scale food distribution center (DC) kitchen environment
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage areas
• Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting
