Position Overview Health Coast Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, California. Key Responsibilities * Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to formulate personalized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall health. * Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing various modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to facilitate recovery. * Maintain a regular schedule of therapy sessions, ensuring continuity of care and adapting treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback. * Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes. * Educate patients and their families about physical health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for ongoing wellness and prevention of future injuries. * Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly in compliance with legal and ethical standards. * Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient progress and share best practices amongst colleagues. * Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and innovations. Patient Population / Client Focus This role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will be expected to tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs of each patient, ensuring they receive targeted care that promotes physical health and improves their quality of life. The environment requires sensitivity and adaptability to address the emotional and psychological aspects of rehabilitation as well. Qualifications * A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree or additional certification is a plus. * Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of California. * Demonstrated knowledge of physical therapy practices, particularly in rehabilitation settings. * Proven track record of developing and implementing effective treatment plans based on patient assessments. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers. * Ability to maintain detailed and confidential patient records while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. * Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care. Preferred Experience * Experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable. * Prior involvement with interdisciplinary teams in therapeutic settings. * Familiarity with evidence-based practices and current treatment modalities in physical therapy. * Ability to mentor and guide junior staff or interns as needed. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
