Work Environment Working at Health Coast Behavioral Center means being part of a vibrant team within a busy outpatient office setting. Our facility is designed to promote a comfortable atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs. As a therapist, you will have access to state-of-the-art tools and resources that will assist you in providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities * Conduct in-depth assessments of patients' physical health and wellness to understand their unique needs and challenges. * Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions. * Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other relevant techniques. * Engage in regular case consultations and collaborative work with psychiatrists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. * Participate in psychoeducational programs and support groups to empower patients and enhance community support. * Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards. * Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring timely and effective assistance during critical moments. * Stay current with advancements in physical health therapy and mental health care through ongoing professional development activities and training. Patient Population / Client Focus The patients you will serve range from adolescents to adults struggling with various physical health issues intertwined with mental health conditions. These may include chronic pain, mobility issues, and rehabilitation needs. As a key player in their recovery journey, you will help them navigate the complexities of both physical and mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment that emphasizes healing and resilience. Qualifications * A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution is required. * Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California. * Strong understanding of physical health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and interventions. * Proven ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop customized treatment plans aimed at effectively meeting patients' needs. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills necessary for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. * Demonstrated sound judgment and adherence to professional ethics and boundaries. * Proficient with EHR systems and comfortable with technology that enhances patient care. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
