Nurse Manager

Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and hands-on RN leader to join a nationally recognized nonprofit organization. This organization provides integrated healthcare, shelter, and social services for those experiencing homelessness and housing instability in New York City. The role involves managing and leading staff in a dynamic, non-traditional setting, with an emphasis on care coordination and patient access for complex, underserved populations.

Function

The position requires broad healthcare and management expertise in a multi-service, shelter-based health center. The role involves coordinating and monitoring primary care service delivery, quality assurance, patient utilization, and staff coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight for support and clinical staff in a shelter-based health center facility.
• Act as the administrative liaison with the shelter Administrative and Case Management staff to ensure resident and patient workflows consistent with Department of Homeless Services’ safety protocols.
• Coordinate work schedules of all health center staff.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including Article 28, HIPAA, and documentation standards.
• Drive care coordination and patient access, especially for complex, underserved populations.
• Handle staff and patient issues, including conflict resolution.
• Monitor quality metrics, reporting, and performance trends and implement improvements.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and both clinical and administrative direction to all support staff within the center.

Requirements

• RN with 5 years clinical experience and 3 years leadership experience preferred
• Experience in ambulatory care, community health, or FQHC settings.
• Comfortable working with homeless or vulnerable populations.
• Strong in operations, compliance, and team leadership.
