Patient Care Director, Behavioral Health (Hoboken University Hospital)

Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the Behavioral Health / Inpatient Detox Center at a hospital in the Jersey City area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and coordinated care within a 24/7 hospital-based program.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient detox nursing services, ensuring safe, effective, and coordinated care across a 24/7 hospital-based program.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, patient flow, budgeting, regulatory readiness, quality metrics, and patient safety initiatives.
• Partner closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to improve care delivery, patient experience, staff engagement, and retention.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff, support shared governance, manage performance, and promote a collaborative, accountable team culture.

Requirements

• NY RN license
• Completed BSN
• 3 years of leadership experience within inpatient behavioral health
• Experience with adolescents and adults required
• Detox experience is a plus
