The Sterile Processing Tech will work during night shifts. This position requires experience in an acute hospital operating room setting. The role involves using various sterilization equipment, including steam sterilizers and washers. Candidates must possess skills in aseptic technique and proper sterilization procedures. Floating within the specialty may be required, including decontamination and instrument processing. Weekends and holidays are required as scheduled. Candidates must be comfortable with no restrictions or special requests, including floating within scope. All candidates must have an active certification in BLS. Trauma Level I and II experience is mandatory for this role. The candidate must have experience with immediate-use steam sterilization. Proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials are critical duties. The position requires proficiency in the use of biological and chemical indicators. The successful candidate will ensure proper sterilization wrapping procedures are followed. The role supports interdisciplinary teams and interprets services for diverse patient diagnoses. Candidates should have experience with scope processing and the proper use of equipment such as Medivators. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential in this position.
