Therapist Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:


Provide occupational therapy assistance to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, supporting therapeutic plans designed to enhance patient independence and functional abilities. Collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver compassionate and effective care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed therapists.
  
• 
  Prepare treatment areas and gather supplies necessary for therapy sessions.
  
• 
  Monitor and document patient progress and responses to therapy interventions.
  
• 
  Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and activities to promote continued progress.
  
• 
  Maintain cleanliness and safety of treatment environments in compliance with facility protocols.
  
• 
  Adhere to all clinical and safety guidelines to ensure quality patient care.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current certification or license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  
• 
  Previous experience working in a SNF or similar settings preferred.
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and patient care standards.
  
• 
  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
• 
  Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and adapt to patient needs.
