Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:


The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care in a home health setting under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The role involves conducting therapy sessions, documenting progress, and ensuring effective treatment plans are followed to improve patient mobility and function.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Implement established treatment plans by the physical therapist to support patient rehabilitation goals.
  
• 
  Assess patient responses and modify interventions accordingly to maximize recovery outcomes.
  
• 
  Document patient progress, session details, and treatment notes accurately within designated timeframes.
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and address care plan adjustments.
  
• 
  Travel to patient homes within designated territories, maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
  
• 
  Maintain current licensure, CPR, and BLS certifications to ensure compliance with state and agency standards.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid and active Physical Therapy Assistant license required.
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of recent home health or outpatient physical therapy experience.
  
• 
  CPR and BLS certification required.
  
• 
  Proven ability to travel up to 75 miles and work independently in patient homes.
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills and ability to document treatment sessions accurately.
  
• 
  Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, and agency-required liability insurance.
