Therapist – Physical Therapy Assistant

$1380.40/week –

Job Summary:

Provides rehabilitative and medically necessary physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Focuses on enhancing patients’ physical functioning through evidence-based practices and individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and support clinical interventions utilizing evidence-based practices for patients with physical disorders.

• Administer procedures such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation assistance, and use of supportive devices.

• Assess patient progress regularly and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.

• Document all activities, interventions, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment outcomes and discharge planning.

• Support supervision of students under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist and participate in meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Valid State Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

• Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience required.

• Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to provide skilled rehabilitative services under supervision.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to adhere to ethical standards and practice acts established by APTA and state regulations.
