Medical Assistant CMA/MA

Job Summary:


The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers in a busy outpatient setting. They assist with patient care, recordkeeping, and clinic operations across multiple locations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Support healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
  
• 
  Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately in electronic medical records.
  
• 
  Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and ensure proper sanitation.
  
• 
  Administer medications and vaccinations following established protocols and provider instructions.
  
• 
  Collect laboratory specimens and perform routine tests like blood draws and swabs.
  
• 
  Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and referrals, liaising with other healthcare facilities as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid CMA/MA certification with 1-2 years of current medical assisting experience.
  
• 
  Proven travel experience in healthcare settings is highly preferred.
  
• 
  Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  
• 
  Current state license or certification to practice as a Medical Assistant.
  
• 
  Strong communication and organizational skills.
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-location environment.
