Job Summary:


The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supports rehabilitation teams by providing therapeutic interventions to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This position is critical in assisting patients to regain essential skills and improve their quality of life.



Responsibilities:




  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist to meet patient goals.

  • Document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.

  • Assist in patient evaluations and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions.

  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and activities.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized treatment environment.







Qualifications:




  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or credential.

  • Minimum of a relevant Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting.

  • Proven experience working in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and treatment plans.
