Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will support the delivery of rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring patients receive high-quality therapeutic care to promote functional recovery and independence.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure therapeutic equipment is properly sanitized and ready for use.
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to supervising therapists.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to support ongoing recovery.
Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and the established CRG P & P guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance in black scrubs and ensure presence in the building during scheduled hours.
Qualifications:
Current OTA license or certification in the state of New Mexico.
Proven experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
Strong understanding of therapy protocols and device operation.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and patients.
Ability to maintain a productivity rate of 92% as required.
Flexibility to follow facility policies, including dress code and schedules.
