This correctional facility delivers clinic-based primary care services to an adult patient population within a secure clinical environment. The facility operates at a medium-security level and maintains established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery. Telephonic consultation with CMO is available to support clinical decision-making during the assignment.

The assignment area offers clinicians access to a range of cultural, recreational, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. The area is recognized for its distinctive cultural identity, including the International UFO Museum and Research Center, UFO-themed attractions, and extraterrestrial-themed shops and murals in the downtown district. Additional highlights include museums covering regional history, fine arts, aviation, and contemporary art, as well as Spring River Park and Zoo, which offers free admission, and Bottomless Lakes State Park approximately 15 miles southeast, providing opportunities for swimming, fishing, hiking, and camping.

Clinicians will provide clinic-based primary care services to adult patients (ages 18 and older) in a medium-security correctional facility on a day shift schedule, working 24 hours per week on a preferred schedule of three 8-hour shifts, with two 12-hour shifts considered as an alternative. The expected caseload is approximately 10 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing the evaluation and management of primary and chronic care conditions within a correctional environment. Required credentials include an active NP license, DEA registration, BLS certification, and prescriptive authority; board certification is negotiable, with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 1-2 weeks, including PREA training and a background check. Prior correctional experience is an asset, and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinician is considered favorable for this role.
