Clinicians will provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations on a 24-hour call basis, managing an average daily census of 6-8 patients with 1-2 new consults per day; hospitalists are responsible for admissions and discharges. Daily responsibilities include performing approximately 6-8 scheduled endoscopies, followed by inpatient add-on procedures such as EGDs, colonoscopies, and PEG tube placements. APP support is available to assist with clinical operations throughout each assigned coverage period.
