Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:


Assisting licensed physical therapists in providing rehabilitative care to patients. Supporting therapy sessions through patient assistance and documentation to promote recovery and mobility.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  
• 
  Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure safety and readiness.
  
• 
  Document patient progress and respond to any immediate clinical needs during therapy sessions.
  
• 
  Educate patients and family members on exercises and home programs prescribed by therapists.
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times.
  
• 
  Attend team meetings to coordinate care and report patient updates.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA) credential required.
  
• 
  Proven experience assisting in physical therapy settings preferred.
  
• 
  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• 
  Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and documentation protocols.
  
• 
  Knowledge of clinical rehabilitation techniques and patient safety standards.
  
• 
  BLS certification required.
